Traveling for 2 days from Ohio to get to Dallas and we rolled in with our dog after picking up our daughter for lunch. It was a 55 degree and windy day but not to worry! The wait staff fired up the heaters and brought us cozy blankets. We grabbed our dog bed from the car and our dog took a nap while we ate on the front porch. The shish (lamb and beef) was prepared perfectly with healthy salads and we had a sampler of the dips (hummus, baba and tarturo). Thanks for the great food and great service)!

Great dining experience. I'm not a stranger to Turkish and Middle Eastern food having lived in the area for a decade. Everything we ordered was delicious and well presented. The ambiance was on point as well, but as much as we enjoyed the meal the highlight of the evening was our server, Beril. I've had great customer service experiences before of course, but Beril raised the bar with her attentiveness, authenticity, kindness, and competence. Trust me, just ask for Beril and you can thank me later. Everyone in our group of four agreed we'd be back the next time we were in Dallas.

Came with my Greek friend to eat Turkish food and while we had a great time the thoughts on the food was mixed. There's plenty of parking, at the site and around it, and upon entering we were seated immediately. The customer service we received was fantastic and our waitress was very attentive! For appetizers we ordered - garlic shrimp, halloumi cheese, stuffed dates, and cheese pide. I thoroughly enjoyed the garlic shrimp (the chili flakes gave a nice kick) and halloumi cheese with the fig marmalade was a nice addition - eating this with the homemade bread made for a delicious bite! I expected the dates to come out warm (but it is something I can see myself replicating as the flavors were there). I would have liked the pide to be a little more flavorful- extra oregano, garlic - but it was full of cheese so it made for a decent flatbread. For mains we ordered, chicken shish and salmon. I did have the salmon with rice and tomato salad. The chicken shish was flavorful and cooked nicely. I did enjoy the salmon and the mustard sauce gave it a nice touch. We did have to add salt and pepper to the meal but overall I liked it. We ended with a Turkish style pistachio cheesecake and Turkish coffee. The cheesecake was different than what I'm normally used to but enjoyed the flavor from the pistachios. I'm not coffee lover but did enjoy trying something new. Overall, the customer service was great, we tried a variety of dishes (some hits, some misses), and I look forward to eating more Turkish food!

Everything about the food and service at this restaurant was top notch! The ambience of the restaurant transports you in time and the original house gives the restaurant individual spaces for groups like ours. We ordered a lot of dishes from the menu and sampled them family style. Wine and cocktail options are great and the restaurant has a full service bar in terms of food. It was very hard to pick a favorite some of the dishes that I truly savored are : stuffed dates, grilled eggplant, salad, beef seesh and fried cauliflower. For an entrée, most of us chose to have the Beyti Special which was exquisite. The dessert platter that they showcase makes you wanna try all the desserts for sure. Our table got almost one of each and tried them family style again. Service at the restaurant was another clear winner. Irem took care of our table and was outstanding. Pricing: Moderate high, but completely worth the money you spend for not just delicious food, but an amazing dining experience. Will I return? Absolutely! This is a restaurant that cannot be missed.

The experience at "The Mayor's House" was a bit different than expected. Not necessarily good or bad... just different. While it was a beautiful evening weather-wise to sit on the visually inviting patios, the loud music quickly made us realize that wasn't going to be the best option. Going inside, however, didn't mute the music much. Fortunately it was toned down not too long after. Interior atmosphere of the historic house is great--aside from the music choice / volume. Nice to see the "old" surviving amidst the giant, generic "shipping container looking" apartment buildings going up all over Oak Cliff. Perfect setting for a restaurant. The service was adequate but not above average. Having been to the location in Addison, the service and more calming atmosphere there was more of what I was expecting here. The dress code of some of the staff here seems to be a bit more "relaxed", too. Now on to the food. It was all excellent tasting with reasonable prices. The food is what raised this from 3-stars to 4+. Kudos for not charging extra for the common credit card payments. Do better with your handheld devices... trying to get the itemized bill, figure out the tip and technology while the waiter stood like a sentry is annoying. As I often mention when dealing with situations like this: what's wrong with the "old fashioned" yet efficient printed checks / receipts that don't require the waiter to hover as we fill them out? For me personally I would have preferred a casual but more "refined" feel with incredible service to complement the already fantastic food options... ...but maybe I'm just getting old. :)

It was wonderful! The food and atmosphere were excellent. The pink sultan and the Halloumi cheese were incredible! I am a little bummed that no one wished us a happy anniversary given that I had included it in our reservation notes. It was also odd that the manager came and checked in on several of the tables around us but never came to our table.

Highly recommend this spot! Seval was an excellent server and made our experience over the top!!! We loved the lamb chops, halloumi cheese and Muhammara. Branzino was beautiful and large but of course, served whole so be ready for bones. We'll def be back!
